Throughout the years since its inception in 1983, Redwood Entertainment, Inc.’s music and film departments have been known for their comprehensive management, artist representation, and record label marketing services.

Redwood artists have garnered numerous Grammy nominations, winning six Grammies in categories such as Best Instrumental Composition Jazz and Best Jazz Instrumental Album.  In 2003 Sertab Erener won the Eurovision contest, the first Turkish artist to receive the prize. Our U.S. based artists have received Tony and Emmy awards.

The company’s international clients include Fahir Atakoglu, internationally renowned symphonic composer and conductor who, as a band leader, composer and pianist, has released three Jazz/World Music CDs in the United States that have made it to #1 on the JazzWeek Charts.

Redwood artists and Eurovision winners Sertab Erener and Demir Demirkan’s album Painted on Water is a fusion of World Music with Jazz and Pop influences. Another international client is Sezen Aksu, Turkey’s “First Lady of Song”.

Additional international artists include Spanish-Argentinean blues/rock artist Demian Dominguez and Turkish world class symphonic composer and pianist Armagan Durdag, Greek jazz saxophonist Dimitris Vassilakis, whose Jazz Democracy project was presented at the United Nations in April, 2018; and Greek composer and accordionist Zoe Tiganouria whose music is included in the soundtrack of the film Tango Shalom set for release in fall, 2019. Italian jazz singer Letizia Gambi’s albums have been produced by Grammy Award winning drummer Lenny White and featured such Jazz legends as Ron Carter and Chick Corea.

Our U.S. based artists include Grammy winner Ken Williams, the writer of Alicia Keys’ hit “You Don’t Know My Name” and Kenny Seymour, the musical director of Broadway’s Tony Award winning Memphis and the new musical, Ain’t Too Proud, featuring the music of The Temptations. Composer, pianist and film scorer Pericles Kanaris is a graduate of the Berklee School of Music and appears regularly around New York.

Jazz vocalist Tammy McCann has toured throughout Europe and Asia with performances featuring the music from the American Songbook and a salute to Mahalia Jackson.  Matt Patuto is a composer, music educator, author and world class percussionist.  Aimee Allen is a jazz vocalist and composer whose interpretations in English, French and Portuguese make her a truly international artist.

Other artists include the legendary Jazz and session guitarist John Tropea; David Bennett Cohen, original keyboard player with Country Joe and the Fish; World Music/R&B/Hip-Hop/Reggae fusion band, Derrick N. Ashong & Soulfège led by Emmy nominated Derrick Ashong; as well as New York’s own New Orleans second line Jambalaya Brass Band; rockers GIBlythe, featuring Geoffrey Blythe of Black 47 and formally of the U.K.’s Dexy’s Midnight Runners; plus R&B legend Chuck Jackson and Early Clover of the beloved Coasters.
